    Raisa Monteiro - Founder

    CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER


    Raisa co-founded LORAI Health to create a platform for transdermal hormone and drug delivery, bringing together her Stanford PhD research in functional polymers, early career at DuPont in advanced materials, and more than two decades of experience scaling life science innovation.

    She has led technology development from concept through to manufacturing strategy, built early partnerships, and navigated every stage of execution — from regulatory planning to facility readiness. Her career spans both sides of the startup journey: building from within and advising from the outside.

    Johanna Wicks - Founder

    CHIEF COMMUNICATIONS + PARTNERSHIPS

    Johanna is the co-founder of LORAI Health, driven by a passion to improve the lives of women navigating menopause and beyond. Bringing deep expertise with over twenty years of experience in developing strategic partnerships, influencing policy, and securing substantial funding for health and community wellbeing initiatives.

    Johanna’s career spans 15 years in the NFP sector, specifically in women's health, the federal Government, and most recently, in the private sector, where she successfully placed menopause on the national agenda, resulting in $224 million in government funding for menopause-specific initiatives. 

  • Kate Freeman Executive Director of Lorai Health

    Kate Freeman

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


    Kate is a senior executive with 25+ years of experience operating at the intersection of strategy, governance, and organisational performance. A Lead Mentor at Techstars Tech Central Sydney Accelerator for three consecutive cohorts and a recognised advocate for female founders and health innovation, Kate is known for her ability to translate complex strategy into executable outcomes and for the directness, empathy, and commercial rigour she brings to every board she serves.

    Joining the Lorai Health Board as a Non-Executive Director in May 2026, Kate brings a rare perspective that bridges clinical innovation, commercial strategy, and capital markets.

    Sonya is passionate about connecting people, ideas, and innovation. At LORAI Health, she leads communications and community engagement. With a background in advocacy, public speaking, and digital storytelling, Sonya builds bridges between the LORAI Health team, our supporters, and the broader women’s health community.

    She thrives on creating meaningful conversations that inform, inspire, and drive change — because every voice matters when shaping the future of menopause care.
